Then, there was the ludicrous 2-point attempt in the fourth quarter that still defies explanation over 24 hours later and will probably still be leaving fans and analysts alike in awe for the next 24 years.Īfter going 2-6 in the SEC last fall, Florida needed Richardson to be an offensive spark plug. For a player who thrives on creation capacity, Richardson stood firm in the pocket and delivered strikes downfield on third downs for fun. There were throws where he displayed high-level mechanics, anticipation, and accuracy. There were runs where his speed, elusiveness, and physicality made him virtually untouchable.
